Message From Our President
Dear Friends,
The year, 2009 marks the 60th Anniversary of the founding of The Arc of Middlesex County. Over those years, countless volunteers have contributed their time and money to help our efforts to provide people with developmental and other disabilities with support and services to help make their lives more interesting and meaningful.
As I begin my second and final term as Board President, I realize the tremendous work of former Presidents, Board Members, Staff and especially Volunteers who proceeded me. They provided a firm foundation from which we operate today.
The bulk of our funding to maintain our Group Homes, Programs and Activities is provided by the State of New Jersey. If we are to continue to expand and improve our programs and activities we need help from our membership and volunteers. Any contribution, whether in time as a volunteer or a donation, is needed to improve the quality of our programs and services.
On October 23, 2009, The Arc of Middlesex will celebrate its 60th Anniversary at The Grand Marquis in Old Bridge. Please join us in celebrating and acknowledging the years and the people who guided us to the present and those who will guide us into the future.
